Essay By Terry Little A Prisoner's Apology Many days I would think of the words that I would say the mother of my victim. Do I give her a simpde sorry? do I explain in detail how regretful I am? Téis tends be a huge burden on my guilt ridden heart. The problem most times isn't about the apologetic feature, rather it's the gesture, and how will it be recieved. There has been many mothers who have lost their children from acts of violence, but how many mothers can actually say th...

Running head: TIME 1 All Doing Time Given an opportunity to describe himself during an interview, an Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC) resident, adamantly declared, “I ain’t a snitch. I don’t fuck wit boys. And I don’t break under pressure” (Mr. Prisoner, 2016, personal interview). When asked during this interview was he the proverbial “inmate” or “convict”, he answered, “Pm a prisoner — there’s a difference” (Mr. Prisoner, 20 l 6, personal interview). Apparently these ...

Education American prisons do not offer enough education for the inmates being housed in the Penitentiary. The only way for an inmate to receive an associate or any kind of college education Is through mail correspondence. A GED certificate is the only certificate we are allowed to receive in Ohio. Its guys like me who want to further their education but can't afford correspondence, so the only option we have is self education through library books. A really good question is how does the...

12-1-15 [No Title] I found of your resourse and group of individuals through a fellow prisoners, prison legal news paper. I unfortunatelly didn't write down or remember the word essay on prison essays on life in prison. I rather die than let these cops get away with what they did to me. Buck up, here we go! I was placed in a block with several mentally ill inmates. After complaining to officials my demands were met with apathy. I was compelled to act out to be removed after I was denied ...

June 2nd, 2016 I rewrite you all to bring you a glimpse of my life at the Southern Ohio Correctional facility. First I must say how imperative it is to say: "There's nothing like a woman's touch." I say that because here at this institution, these c/o's be surrounding every woman that comes through. Yes there are sick people in prison as well as everywhere. However, these c/o's always looking at person's penis to see if he was masturbating on a female is sic...

Neglect The sunlight hours we receive in max prisons should fluctuate instead we get the same hours everyday all year around. These hours consist of a.m. hours and before 2:30pm; no evening hours .Unlike other max prisons ,the prison lam housed in does not have open and closeable windows; therefore we are only allowed one hour of fresh air and that is during outside rec. After being neglected outside air for so many years, the skin becomes irritated and sometimes remains permanently damaged. ...

O“\/ef p!“aC.&.<::J The Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections allow private companies to over price inmates for food, clothing and electronics. The shoes we buy are made out of the cheapest material such as fake leather and recycled rubber. Electronics such as a 13in television cost $215 while a clip on plastic no name fan cost $20.The food is also an issue, it is over priced pre—cooked and is almost guaranteed to cause health problems. Besides being over priced for the food and...

Televison The Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections should consider a better television network for Ohio prisoners. After being locked up in a cell for 20 hours a day for several years basic television becomes a frustration. These institutions have no concern of the sanity of the inmates. Ohio Department of Rehabilitation charge $215 for a 13in Cleartoon t.v. With the money they collect for these small televisions they should give inmates the privilege to e enjoy basic television; such...

Terry Little #562207 N.E.O.C.C. 2240 Hubbard Rd. Youngstown, Ohio 44505 Essay written by Terry Little Titled: The rehabilitated lifer. Lifer defined is a noun; Slang for one who's serving time under a life sentence. Yet, in prison the definition isn't distinguished from those serving time without such a term behind their sentence. This unjuxtasposed disintergrated pontification isn't to put no inmate above, nor below ano- ther, because when it boils down to it no crime can be r...

Running header: Resources Untapped Resources They are called the Nobodies. Men who are incarcerated in the Ohio correctional facilities. They are mostly young men. They have no outside support whatsoever. No family. No friends. No loved ones. The Nobodies live day by day, pushing the limits to the conditions of their incarceration. Rebuffed from the outside, or so it seems, they only wait until they are released from their debt to society. To qualify as a Nobody, an affinity with anarchy is a...

Saturday June 4th, 2016 "Black Cloud" Well, minus the nonsense life's great. Especially, when you lost a lot in life such as cars, family and many good things you once enjoyed. But guards that run their shifts in Lucasville drive off misery. It's funny how they come to work with a tough look on their face. Almost mostly looking for a bully shot at a prisoner they attempt to harass. Thinking that the things they do wont catch up with them. It's funny how somehow I alwa...
